Nicole Richie In A Rush To Lose Baby Weight

Nicole Richie has already hired a personal trainer to get her pre-pregnancy figure back.

'The Simple Life' star - who is expecting her first child with fiancé Joel Madden in January - is reportedly determined to shed her baby weight in record time and hates her ever-expanding body.

A source close to Nicole - who sparked rumours of an eating disorder before she fell pregnant because of her tiny frame - said: "Nicole feels huge right now. Her breasts are enormous and she finds it difficult to get comfortable. The change to her body has been drastic and it's been hard for Nicole to accept. She looks in the mirror and doesn't even recognise the person staring back at her."

Nicole has hired celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak to start working with her just two weeks after she gives birth.

However, Joel is said to be furious at her plans as he wants her to concentrate on giving birth to a healthy baby.

The source added: "When Nicole announced she had spoken to Harley Pasternak they were all shocked. Joel asked her to wait until at least the beginning of March, but she's determined to start a gentle workout routine within two weeks of giving birth.

"Joel's concentrating on Nicole having a healthy baby, but all Nicole can talk about is how she can't wait to lose 20lbs."

Nicole Richie Denied Entry Into Gated Community

Nicole Richie has been stopped from buying her dream home by angry residents.

The pregnant 'Simple Life' star and her Good Charlotte frontman fiancée Joel Madden recently made an offer on a home situated in an exclusive gated Southern California community.

After their potential neighbours heard the couple wanted to relocate to the area, they blocked the move because they are worried about being overrun by paparazzi.

A source said: "Nicole was livid because she loved the house. She thinks it's a bull-s**t reason, but she couldn't fight it."

Nicole and Joel could appeal the decision but it is unlikely the residents committee will reverse their decision.

Meanwhile, Joel has said he thinks fatherhood will inspire his music.

The 28-year-old rocker, who is set to become a father in December, believes the experience will manifest itself in his songwriting.

He said: "I'm sure it will inspire me. I just can't wait now. It's going to be amazing."

Nicole Richie Smoking While Pregnant?

After creating a media whirlwind with her stint in jail, pregnancy and rumored wedding, Nicole Richie has been keeping things low key over the past month.

That is, until now. Unfortunately for the former Simple Life star, reports have been coming forth about her inability to stop smoking cigarettes while she’s carrying her rocker boyfriend Joel Madden’s baby.


According to a recent NY Post story, witnesses saw Nicole lighting up on two separate occasions during a trip to New York City.

The story reads: “Mommy-to-be Nicole Richie. 3:30 p.m. Pony tail, black jeans, waistcoat. Exits DaSilvano with one young girl, one middle-age lady. On the sidewalk, after checking who’s at which outdoor tables, she lights up. They jump into a waiting black Caddy Escalade, Nicole into the front seat. Still smoking. Three days later, 7:30 p.m., Nobu. For somebody who doesn’t eat, she sure frequents lots of restaurants. She’s there with the baby in the bun’s father. They leave. Outside she lights up again.”

More recently, Nicole was spotted out to eat on Sunday at Fabracini’s restaurant with Joel. Coming as a good sign, there were no cigarettes to be seen - so we’ll just hope that either the NY Post is wrong, or that Nicole is doing her best to fight those nicotine cravings.
