UPDATED: Pictures From Angie Martinez's 1st Annual Hair Show & Beauty Expo
Angie Martinez' site states:
The Voice of New York City, Angie Martinez along with Covergirl's Queen Collection present the First Annual Angie Martinez Hair Show & Beauty Expo. This ground breaking event will bring together hair, make-up, beauty, music, and fashion to create this one of a kind Expo. Taking place on November 24th at New York's Hammerstein ballroom, this all day event will be one that your family will not want to miss. Top beauty experts, stylists, makeup artists and industry insiders will come together for the first time to give Angie's listeners tips on what products work best for their hair, complexion and lifestyle.I wish Angie much success with this.
Trey Songz was in the house performing. I wish I was there. I would've thrown a shirt on his bird chest but I love him though. He's still a cutie pie. I'm going to have to summon him to my crib for a few and feed him a little bit. He'll gain some weight in no time.
My baby looks so much better with some clothes on.
My dude Collie Buddz was there. Finally the herbs come around! BLOW BLOW BLOW! That's my dude right there! He can blow. If you've never heard of him, check out his video right here for his song Come Around. He is not what you'd expect. Check him out.
Misa Hilton, Puffy, P Diddy, Sean Combs, whatever he is calling himself these days's baby momma extraordinaire was there.
I'm loving the shade she used to dye her hair and the style is super cute.
Missy was there giving us the grown woman pose. Go ahead Missy.
Lil Mama, aka Bow Wow incarnate as a female, was there as well looking a bit androgynous. I can't really tell. Between the clothes and the wig, I can't call it. Can you?
Julissa was there, formerly of BET's 106th & Park
Nina Sky, Move Your Body Girl, Make The Fellas Go, were in the house. I've seen them in person several times performing at clubs in New York around the time when they were hot on the scene. They are talented but I guess not enough to last long in the music business. Will they make a comeback? Not soon enough *insert sarcasm here*.
Jim Jones was there looking like he just climbed out of bed, threw on a coat and hat and bounced. Not a good look Jimmy.
My boy Cassidy. I bet he was getting his drink and two step on.
Pepa don't hurt em girl.
She looks pretty here.
Angie better get her hands of my man's bird chest before I have to cut her!
Check out more pictures from this same event below.
Juelz Santana was there as well as Ms. Info, The-Dream, Fabolous, Cypha sounds, Funk Master Flex and Angie's mom. Check em out plus MORE PICTURES!

Trey Songz Spread in BlackMen Magazine
He is always pursing his lips together. We get it. You have nice lips. Move on.
I like this jacket.
I'm also feeling this look. He looks good in that argyle sweater. He could be a model and do spreads for fashion magazines. He definitely has the look. I still want him to gain like 20 lbs and come see me.

Trey Songz - Can't Help But Wait Video+Album Review of Alicia Keys "As I Am"
I was sleeping on Trey Songz' new album. What is wrong with me? His song "Can't Help But Wait" is lovely, romantic and soothing. I love it. This is my song of the moment.
Check out the video here. OK, Trey is sexy as hell! He just needs to gain a good 20/30 lbs and he'll be hittin'! Not literally...but maybe? Hmmm. Can I get some of that? :) Oh and some of you ladies need to take heed to this video and the message in it. See yourself for what you are worth, A LOT!!
While we're on the subject of music, I promised I was going to do a quick album review of Alicia Keys' new CD "As I Am". Well I am loving it! Loving it. Another work of art. If you listen to this CD and find nothing but negative things to say, you need to retire your musical ears because you have none.
In Alicia-esque manner, the album starts off with a piano intro that builds up to "Go Ahead", the second track of the album. The harmonies on that song, the rhythm and melodies all carried me through the lyrics that speak of stolen hearts and broken promises. The next song, "Superwoman" is empowering. All powerful and reminiscent of a woman's anthem of times past for the year 2007/2008. "Cause I am Superwoman, yes I am, yes she is. Even when I'm a mess, still I put on a vest with an S on my chest, oh yes I am Superwoman." Wow, those lyrics give me chills. Then it's her song "No One" which just about everyone has heard at one point in time by now. Love it! Then it's on to "Like You'll Never See Me Again." OK, this song is just beautiful, beautiful. The lyrics are eye-opening. Time is so short. We don't know if we'll see someone the next day. The songstress recommends to the lovers out there, "Every time you hold me, hold me like this is the last time, every time you kiss me, kiss me like you'll never see me again. Every time you touch me, touch me like this is the last time. Promise that you'll love me, love me like you'll never see me again." There's not much I can say. The words speak for themselves.
Then it's on to "Lessons Learned" with John Mayer. The guitar riffs of John Mayer alone make me love this song. Just amazing. But it helps tremendously that the lyrics and melody of this song all fit in beautifully together which make it a strong contender for a third single. Another standout track for me is "I Need You." I love the harmonies on this song. The other songs on the album are Wreckless Love, love it, "The Thing About Love" - very soothing love song. Then it's Teenage Love Affair which is reminiscent of "You Don't Know My Name" but speaks of teenage love. This song took me back to high school and being in love. Those were wonderful days. Thank you Alicia for this song. "Where Do We Go From Here" puts me in the mind of an old 60s or 70s song. I like it. Then "Prelude to a Kiss" is Ms. Alicia singing alone with her piano, like "Caged Bird" from her debut album. "Tell You Something" is another favorite of mine. "Sure Looks Good To Me" is the last song on the album. The beginning of the song makes me think of Mariah Carey and Pink - Mariah for the harmonies and Pink for the "Yeah yeah yeah" part. This is her single song on the album which kinda leans on the rock side, more soft rock. I like it as well. It leaves me wanting more though. The album has 14 songs but yet I want more.
To summarize, the album is great! I'm glad I bought it. I also bought Celine Dion's Taking Chances. I have yet to listen but will report back on that at a later time. ~:::SEE THE REST OF THIS POST:::~
